About Calmora

We Sit Quietly With Families
Until Things Feel Clearer

Calmora was founded on a simple idea: that families facing change deserve calm, honest information — not pressure, not urgency, just someone who listens and helps them think.

Our Story

How Calmora Came to Be

Calmora began in 2019 when our founder, Priya Somboon, noticed that many families in Hua Hin were struggling not because their situations were unusual, but because the information they needed was scattered across different offices, websites, and well-meaning relatives. What they were looking for was a quiet space to organise their thinking.

Priya had spent years working in community education in Prachuap Khiri Khan and had seen the difference a calm, well-structured conversation could make. She started Calmora to offer exactly that — sessions that give families the language and the tools to approach difficult topics thoughtfully, without being pushed toward any particular outcome.

Today, Calmora works with households across Hua Hin and the surrounding area. Our small team shares a common approach: we listen more than we speak, we explain rather than advise, and we always tell families when a question falls outside our scope and where to look instead.

Our Mission

What We Are Here to Do

Offer Honest, Bounded Support

We are clear about what we do and what we do not do. Our work is educational and organisational — never advisory in a legal, financial, or clinical sense.

Respect the Pace of Each Household

Families move at different speeds. We adapt to yours and never create a sense of urgency where none exists.

Leave Families Better Equipped

Every session produces something tangible — a guide, a checklist, a written summary — so families leave with something they can revisit in their own time.

Point Toward the Right People

Where a family needs a specialist, we say so clearly and help them understand where to look. We see signposting as part of our work, not a shortcoming.

How We Work

Our Standards and Approach

These principles shape every session, workshop, and conversation we have with families.

Scope Transparency

We are open at every stage about what falls within our scope and what does not. Families never need to guess whether we are offering advice or education.

Careful Handling of Personal Information

What families share with us stays with us. We hold personal information with care and do not share it beyond what is necessary to provide our services.

Written Materials Every Time

We do not rely on memory. Every session produces printed materials families can take away and refer to whenever it suits them — not just immediately after.

Adapted to Each Household

Sessions are shaped around the family in the room, not a fixed script. We listen carefully before we suggest any structure or framework.

Active Signposting

When a family needs a lawyer, a mediator, a financial planner, or another professional, we tell them so clearly and point them toward appropriate, official sources.

Feedback Welcomed

We ask families after each session whether what we offered was useful. That feedback shapes how we work and keeps our sessions grounded in what families actually find helpful.

About Our Work

Family Information and Communication Support in Hua Hin

Calmora operates from Hua Hin in Prachuap Khiri Khan, a region where many households — Thai families, long-term residents, and mixed-background families — find themselves navigating transitions without a clear sense of where to start. Our work sits at the point where a family knows something needs to be discussed or organised but has not yet found a quiet way to begin.

Our three core offerings — the Gentle Talk Preparation session, the Document Tidy Workshop, and the Family Coordination Package — are designed to be taken individually or in sequence depending on what a household needs. Each one produces something written and practical that families keep. The sessions are small and unhurried, and our team is trained to listen carefully before introducing any structure.

We do not claim to offer legal, financial, or specialist professional services of any kind. Where those services are what a family needs, we say so directly and help them understand where to look. We see this kind of honest boundary-setting as part of what makes our work trustworthy rather than a limitation on it.

Families in and around Hua Hin, including those in Cha-Am, Pranburi, and the broader Prachuap Khiri Khan area, are welcome to reach out with an initial enquiry. There is no obligation, and we are happy to have a short conversation first to see whether what we offer would be a good fit for your household's situation.
